Awning Removal Procedure for model 900XT and 1000XT only

TOOLS NEEDED:
  • Phillips screwdriver
  • 7/16” Wrench
  • 3/8" Socket and driver
  • Step ladder

  • PARTS ENCLOSED:
  • (2) Cable ties (10" long)
  • WARNING: Failure to wear safety glasses or to follow the instructions below can result in PERSONAL INJURY.

PLEASE NOTE THAT LEFT AND RIGHT REFERENCES ARE AS YOU ARE FACING THE HOUSE.

    1. Using the hand crank wand roll the awning out 6-12 inches.

    2. Wrap the cable ties around the left and right arms and loosely secure them above the rafter lock latch.

    3. Release each arm from the bottom bracket, one at a time, and lower the bottom of each arm to the deck or patio. You will need to extend the inner arm out, depending on the installed height of the bottom brackets. Allow the bottom of the arm to sit approximately 2 feet away from the house.

NOTE: YOUR HELPER MAY NEED TO LIFT UP ON THE ARM ASSEMBLY WHILE YOU COMPLETE THE NEXT STEP.

    4. Remove the Hex-bolt and nut securing the rafter ends to the upper brackets on each side.

    5. Remove the screws from the upper bracket on each side.

    6. Remove all screws from the awning rail and allow roller to rest against the house.

    7. With your helper, lay the awning on the surface of the deck or two chairs.

    8. Remove the Flat-head cap bolt that secures each arm assembly to the roller bar and slide each arm away from the roller assembly.

    9. Remove the lower brackets from the wall. This completes the awning removal process.

    ENJOY YOUR AWNING!!
