No. If you close the EasyScreen while the fabric is wet we recommend opening the EasyScreen the next sunny day to allow the fabric to dry completely to prevent mildew from forming. The fabric itself is mildew-resistant, however mildew can form on dirt, pollen, etc. that may be present on the fabric.

No. All SunSetter EasyScreens are outdoor products that can withstand freezing and wintry conditions. Just roll the fabric into its protective aluminum housing and let the sun warm your house, helping you save on heating costs.

Each EasyScreen you purchase comes standard with a multi-channel radio controlled remote control. You can program all of your EasyScreens to operate individually or simultaneously on the same remote.

Our EasyScreen Retractable Screen models can be recessed, or hidden from view by incorporating them into the building structure, or surface-mounted onto existing structures. Recessed mounts are typically done during construction while surface mount can be added on to existing structures.

Insect Screen – Our insect screen fabric is our most open, or loosest woven, screen. While it provides insect protection, It also provides more ventilation and visibility while reducing up to 55% of UV rays.

Solar Screen – Our solar screen is a tighter woven screen that can block out up to 97% of UV rays, while still allowing refreshing airflow and providing insect protection. These screens are a great option for protecting furnishings from sun damage.

Privacy Screen – Our privacy screen fabric is our least open, or most tightly woven, fabric with only 1% openness. These fabrics provide the greatest UV protection while blocking onlookers and insects.

Yes. We provide the necessary hardware to install onto wood. We recommend you consult a local hardware store for hardware specific to your masonry or brick application.

The crank wand for the Manual EasyShade is 47 inches. If the area is not easily accessible to operate with a crank wand, consider purchasing our plug-in motorized or our solar-powered model, which can be operated with a remote from anywhere, including from inside the house.

You have the option of requesting the 12 foot long power cord (motor) on the left or right end of the Motorized EasyShade. Left or right is as you are facing the point of installation from the outside of you home, looking toward your home.
