Motorized XL, Motorized and VISTA Measuring Instructions.

If you like, you can PRINT OUT these instructions.

1. Measure the height of the wall where you want to install your awning. Minimum mounting height: 7 ft. 6 in.
If minimum height is not available, contact your local SunSetter Dealer for other installation options.

Awnings Measuring Instructions (Motorized XL, Motorized, or VISTA models)

2. Measure how wide an awning you want.
(Note: The actual fabric width is 4-1/2 in. less than the total awning width.)

3. Make sure you have at least 8 inches of unobstructed vertical space where you want to mount the awning.

Note: You will need 9 inches of space if installing our optional aluminum hood with your awning (all models except for the XL model). You will need 11 inches of space if installing our optional aluminum hood with an XL model awning.

Model 1000XT or Model 900XT Measuring Instructions Awnings Measuring Instructions for XT models

If you like, you can PRINT OUT these instructions

1. Measure the height of the wall where you want to install your awning.
Minimum mounting height:

  • 1000XT -- 7 ft.
  • 900XT-- 6 ft. 8 in.
Maximum mounting height: 10 ft.

2. Measure how wide an awning you want. If you have side railings on your deck or patio, the awning supports must fit inside the railings.
(Note: The actual fabric width is 10 in. less than the total awning width.)

NOTE: If you don't have at least 6 ft 8 in. of vertical clearance from your deck or patio floor to any roof or overhang, or if you want to install your awning on your overhang, please Click Here
